History and Development

Founded in 1932 by Tony Biever (MP), Schiltz & Schiltz has evolved over the decades while maintaining its core values of excellence and integrity.

In 1959, Louis Schiltz joined the firm, strengthening its expertise in insurance law and civil liability, and gradually expanding its services into new areas.

The new generation took the reins in the ’90s when Jean-Louis Schiltz and Franz Schiltz, currently Senior Partner and Managing Partner, respectively, came on board. The year 1994 marked the beginning of a new era for the law firm.

Under their leadership, Schiltz & Schiltz modernized and continued to expand its areas of expertise. Initially comprising five or six people, the firm grew organically by attracting new talent and significantly strengthening its team. This development accelerated in 2017 with the firm's relocation to more modern premises, marking a significant milestone in its expansion. In 2022, the firm appointed new partners, further enhancing its leadership and capabilities.

Today, with a dynamic team of around 20 lawyers and legal professionals, including six partners, Schiltz & Schiltz continues to grow and innovate, while staying true to its roots.

In 2018, the firm incorporated as a 'société anonyme' (public limited company under Luxembourg law), further solidifying its commitment to excellence and modern legal practices. Building on its rich history and strong family values, Schiltz & Schiltz has established itself as a key player both nationally and internationally.
